Supermodels are beautiful, but could really use some meat on their bones. What if we took Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel and added a little muscle. Now she's gorgeous with the strength of 10 men.

Marina Lopez Spotlight
@marinalopezfbb I am on a quest to be a leader in the new Women’s Physique category. My goals are to make it to the Olympia and Ms. International stage and compete as one of the best in the world in Women's Physique. I own a personal training studio and fitness bootcamp in Denver Colorado at the base of the Rocky Mountains. During the ski season, I spend allot of time in Vail Colorado. I love spending a day skiing and then sitting by the fireside in the evening cuddling.
At the age of fourteen I became a professional dancer with Ballet Folklorico. By sixteen I enrolled in a fitness and conditioning class and began weightlifting. My interest in bodybuilding was fueled by reading Flex Appeal and Perfect Parts by Rachel McLish and Hard Bodies by Gladys Portugese. I found women with muscle to be very intriguing. My background in dancing and muscular physique turned out to be a very good combination.
In 2004, I decided to enter my first competition as a bodybuilder. I won 1st place in the lightweight category at my very first show. I was hooked and decided this was the lifestyle for me. In 2006 I crossed over to figure competition and qualified for nationals after winning the overall at the Shawn Ray Pro/Am at my first show. After two attempts at the national level in figure, I decided to return to bodybuilding. The judging criterion was changing and the physique that I had built was now considered too muscular and hard for the new figure standards.
I returned to bodybuilding in 2009 and qualified for nationals by winning the overall at the Colorado State. At my national debut in bodybuilding I took home 1st place in the lightweight class and the overall title at the 2009 Jr. National Championships. I then went on to compete in Vegas at the USA's. I went back to work to prep for the 2010 Nationals. I won my class at Nationals and earned my IFBB profesional status.

Critical Mass Meg. It's been awhile since I've done extreme experimentation in the labs and wanted to push some boundaries. Here's a rare "Frankenmorph" to see if we could get unbelievable size and growth into Meg. Jose Raymond provides the muscle DNA, the breasts are from Autumn Raby and we top it off with Meg's smile.
This brings new meaning to "muscle bound" since Meg couldn't put her arms down afterwards. An Area Orion female muscle morph.

Strong Women in History: Sandwina
Katie (Kate) Brumbach ("Great Sandwina") - possibly the best ever known strongwoman. She was born in 1884 in Vienna, Austria and passed away in 1952. Katie was the second oldest of 15 children whose parents were circus performers. Her parents, Philippe and Johanna Brumbach acted as a powerful pair in fairs and circuses and they had fourteen children. Kate participated in circus spectacles with her family, and the most exciting moment came when her father offered 100 marks to any man in the audience who would capable to defeat his daughter Kate in wrestling. According to the legend, nobody earned the 100 marks. Her husband of 52 years, Max Heymann, was one of those daredevils who accepted the challenge.
Famous powerlifter Eugene Sandow appeared in New York and responded to Kate’s strength challenge. Kate started lifting weights increasingly heavier and heavier and Sandow, subsequently, caught the ones she left and lifted them at the same time. Finally, Kate lifted a weight of 300 pounds (136 kg) on the level of her head whereas Sandow was able to lift it just to his chest, and Kate won the contest. Overpowering Sandow she decided to adopt the artistic name of "Sandwina" (female derivative from "Sandow"). She was capable to lift her husband of 75 kilograms above the head with just one arm and often used him in performances as a dumbbell. Among her actions were: tossing up iron balls of 14 kilograms which then she caught by the back of the neck; maintaining a carousel of 14 persons on her shoulders and bending iron bars of 5 centimeters in diameter
During the 1920s, 1930 and the beginning of the 1940, she worked in the United States. In 1941 season at the age of 57, Sandwina still worked as powerlifter in the "Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus". At 64 year old she still was able to break horseshoes and to double bars of iron with the hands as well as to lift her husband with one hand. Subsequently she and her husband opened a restaurant in New York. Their son, Theodore Sandwina, was a famous heavyweight boxing champion in the 1920s and early 1930s.

Tid Bits
News from the Female Muscle world.
Tina Chandler IFBB Pro hits Okinawa, Japan for 2 weeks!
Wanted to share what a great couple weeks I've had here in Okinawa with Tina Chandler. We invited her out here to guest pose at the Torii (Army) Muscle Beach Classic & also at the Japanese Okinawa Bodybuilding competition.
Donna Spangler Wins Pro Bikini Championship
Former Playboy playmate turned film star, producer, and fitness expert, Donna Spangler has become a role model for women over 45. Her dedication to a healthy lifestyle helped her win first place last week in the IFBB Pro Bikini Championship.
Meet Maryana Naumova, 13-Year-Old Russian Powerlifter
I live in the suburbs of Moscow and I study in the 6th class of the Lyceum. In addition to the bench press, I have been doing sports aerobics and I am the champion of the Moscow region. I won almost all bench press competitions, held in Russia – regional championships, the championships of Russia and Europe.
Now on Olympic stage, women's boxing had difficult beginning
As a 16-year-old in 1993, Dallas Malloy pummeled her opponent in the first USA Boxing-sanctioned female bout. Later this month, women's boxing will have cleared its final hurdle when the first matches are fought at the London Olympics. Malloy's career in the ring ended almost as soon as it began, but her legal challenge and crowning moment led USA Boxing to open the rings to women and paved the way for the first Olympic medals to be awarded in the sport.
Twenty-One New Female IFBB Pros Crowned

Manga Muscle
The Japanese style art in Manga (comics/print) and Anime (cartoons/animation) is based on the distinctive "Large Eye" look created by Osamu Tezuka.
Manga literally translates "whimsical pictures" and dates back to the
late 1700's with early published picturebooks. Anime is an abbreviation
of "animation" and synonymous with Japanese animation. While early Anime
dates back to 1917, the current characterstic style developed in the
1960's. Both Manga and Anime have a large audience not only in Japan,
but also worldwide.
It's no wonder that many artists have taken their influence and love of the Manga/Anime style and created their own unique brand of Female Muscle. While the look and style may retain some of the "whimsical pictures" origins, these women are all power.
Here is a gallery from some talented Manga/Anime female muscle artists: Bokuman, Mikazuki-Dono (Australia), Purukogi (Japan), RENtb (Japan), S20K00Y (Japan). Check out their DeviantArt pages for more great art.

Oh Yoga Ball
Hardbodied women on yoga balls may be the fitness equivalent of strippers on poles. Damn sexy. Take a minute to enjoy what a little inflated rubber can do.
