MEET mighty 16-year-old Bronwyn Taylor — Britain's strongest schoolgirl. The blonde teen — who only took up powerlifting a year ago — has already broken THREE British records. She can lift twice her own body weight and became the strongest female under-18 at a competition in Bournemouth last month.
Rattana Keomanivong’s Survives Getting Shot In Head
A bodybuilder who was shot in the head during a carjacking outside a Nevada casino – then drove herself to get help – was released from a Salt Lake City hospital just days after the shooting, which authorities said figured in a two-state crime spree. Rattana Keomanivong, operator of the Animal House Training and Nutrition gym in West Wendover, Nev., is a tough woman who earned the title “Wendover Strongest” during a weightlifting fundraiser last summer.
Nicole Ball to take on new challenge after solid Olympia finish
After this year’s Olympia competition, Ball and her trainer decided 2011 was her last year of bodybuilding as she embarks on a new journey in her training. “I am retiring from the actual bodybuilding world,” said Ball. “I am still going to be an international federation pro athlete as they are opening up what they call a physique division for women at the world level. Physique is going to be difficult as I have to lose a ton of muscle.”

After my sudden neck herniation I suffered 2 days before the Ms. Olympia 2010, then the resultant neck fusion surgery 2 weeks later and the long-term recovery process, I had no guarantees that I would ever return to the stage.
