Gina CaranoPro-fighter Gina Carano goes "Haywire" in movie debut
Retired female mixed martial arts fighter Gina Carano may be a household name to those in the sporting world, but the 29-year old beauty is now broadening her horizons to include acting. Carano, a pioneer in the world of female competitive fighting, makes her big screen debut in Steven Soderbergh's action thriller "Haywire," in U.S. theaters on Friday. She plays a framed government agent who must prove her innocence and find out who betrayed her, all the while warding off assassins.

IFBB Pro Kris Murrell, also known as Big Sexy, made an official announcement on Twitter that her pro debut will be as a physique athlete. Women’s physique (WPD) launched in 2011 and ignited in the fitness community. The popularity of WPD grew quickly, and offered female bodybuilders (FBB) and figure athletes an opportunity to crossover to a division more suitable for them.

Kelly and her then husband (Kelly has since filed for and divorced) Craig Titus were sentenced to prison on August 22, 2008 for the slaying of Melissa James. James’ charred body was found in December 2005 in the trunk of Ryan’s burned-out Jaguar sedan in the desert outside Las Vegas. Craig plead guilty to second-degree murder, kidnapping and arson. He was sentenced to 21 to 55 years.

Christiane Cyborg SantosCalifornia: 'Cyborg' Santos tests positive for steroid
Strikeforce star Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos will lose her 145-pound women's title after testing positive for a steroid, her employer said Friday. Drug tests related to a Dec. 17 championship bout with Hiroko Yamanaka revealed the presence of stanozolol metabolites in the urine sample provided by Santos, the California State Athletic Commission announced Friday. The test result means a $2,500 fine and a suspension of Santos' license to fight in California.
