Does this sexy hardbody look familiar? It's none other than Female Bodybuilder and Ms. Olympia contender Brigita Brezovac.

Back in 2003 when Brigita was still Fitness category and did a little bit of dancing, she shot a video for the band Šank Rock. She's packed on quite a bit of muscle since then, but I love this long hair and leaner muscled look too. Too bad the same can't be said for the song.

A little bulge after the Holidays.

Abdominals are by far the hardest body part to enhance. I wanted to focus on that problem area and see if I could make any improvements in the technique. Not sure if I succeeded and this may be one of the more disturbing images at Area Orion. Oh well, sometimes you have to break a few eggs...or test subjects.

Amber Steel in Review

Schmews: Amber Steel is one of my favorite Female Bodybuilders and recently posted her 2010 in Review. It's exciting to read about a woman so passionate in her strength and becoming a muscular Amazon. Here's a brief summary of the info that stood out to me and am looking forward to see what's to come.

...it was an amazing year for me...I made some amazing strength gains...making me stronger than I have ever been in my life. I am excited about the prospect of how I will grow and improve in 2011.

I sit right around 205...have added about 10 pounds of muscle since my competitive bodybuilding days, distributed over my 5' 9 frame. ...my shoulders, back, trunk and legs have all thickened up quite a bit...learned to live a bodybuilding lifestyle...getting freakishly strong. No matter what I subject my body to, it generally responds well.

This past year, I lived and trained in Las Vegas. I embarked on a strength and power program...as I got stronger week by week. All my numbers in my lifts were increasing like crazy...my best bench was probably in the low to 200's. Soon, I was raw benching around 300. My deadlift was right around the low 400's, and my squat was finally around 315. I gained a lot of satisfaction in ... getting stronger every week.

I am becoming a lift and carry technician, and human feats of strength, lifting people overhead with two arms and one arm. I started out with lifting right around 165, and now, the lift is up to right around 205.

It seems there is no end in sight for how much stronger I can get. I took September off from my training, came back just as strong, and was able to get stronger. My raw benchpress is easily in the low 300s, right around 325.

In a nutshell, I have become the amazon that I have always dreamt of, and have become the sensual powerhouse that I only fantasized of becoming. And, it's only going to keep getting better in 2011....just wait and see!

Behind The Growth Experiment

After several requests, I decided to post a photo of how I was before training. In this picture the "before", I had more or less about 15 years. I did not make weight, but I dreamed of having a defined body and healed. The photo of the "after" is very current, is now 25. Besides, 25 short-term, full 26 years this month, to getting old, lol.

Hopefully these photos have inspired you. And be able to show that having OBJECTIVE, determination and discipline, surely you can achieve a nice body.

Sylvia Reyss was one of several bodybuilders that recently walked the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. I'm glad to see a beautiful muscular woman take her rightful place alongside the world's super model elite... but did they have to make her look like a Gaga-esque freak with buck teeth? Hopefully we'll see more female bodybuilders portrayed as mainstream beauty.

Female Muscle Club

I just started as a club administrator of the Female Muscle Club at DeviantArt. Jebriodo was either very wise, or very stupid in giving me that position. I'm grateful and hope to do my best. It's one of the largest collective of female muscle artists with over 500 members and 1300 watchers. This group showcases the best in the fantasy female muscle genre and aims to inspire it's members with monthly themes and contests.

Petition to Keep the IFBB Female Bodybuilding Division.

It’s time for fans and supporters of Female Bodybuilding to rise up and be heard. The sport is withering away, and the IFBB isn’t stupid to focus on the more mainstream fitness, figure and bikini divisions. That’s where the mass appeal and money is. If fans remain silent and admire their favorite muscle women from behind a monitor... female bodybuilding may simply disappear.

Join together to let the bodybuilding community know that there are thousands of dedicated female bodybuilding fans. Let the women and the world know that we support them and want to see female bodybuilding continue to grow strong.

So what can you do to help? I don’t know all the answers, but by working together we can try to keep female bodybuilding alive and strong. Here’s a few ideas.

• Spread posiive word by engaging in the forums and sites that promote bodybuilding.
• Let the women know you’re there to support them. Send encouragement or congratulations.
• Spend your money on products and services that help benefit the sport and their livelihood.
• Visit and support the contests, whether locally in your community or on the national stage

Show your support by posting this badge on your page, site or blog. Let the world know you support female bodybuilding and show a little public pride in the women that work so hard and get little in return.

A Quadra-Blu Comeback?

Lyman Dally is considering bringing back cartoon muscle goddess Quadra-Blu in her own ongoing love/adventure series. The question is... do you want it?

Female muscle fans may remember a little comic in the back pages of Muscular Development magazine during the 1990’s called Max Rep™ Mr. Astrotitan 2206. It was a futuristic/sci-fi themed bodybuilding cartoon from Lyman Dally starring Max Rep. The character I read it for was the super-muscular, blue-haired female bodybuilder Quadra-Blu.

I recently contacted Lyman and he said it’s cool (and surprising) to hear from people that remember Quadra-Blu. We emailed back and forth until I finally asked the question I really wanted to know. Was there a possibility of bringing Quadra-Blu back?

This seemed to pique his interest. The Max Rep series ended in 1998 when Muscular Development went "natural" and Lyman wasn't sure if it would be worth bringing it back after all this time. I can be persuasive (or annoying) and tried to convince him that there are many female muscle fans out there that would love to see her back.
